From Idea to Innovation: A Made-in-USA Pickleball Paddle Attachment
In the spring of 2025, our founder and visionary, Sal Cannella arrived at the pickleball court with an unusual idea: a paperclip taped to the bottom of his paddle to make ball pickup easier without constant bending. What looked simple — and maybe a little unexpected — turned out to be the spark behind something much bigger.
That moment led to the creation of PIKLPIK, a thoughtfully designed pickleball paddle attachment and pickleball sporting goods accessory created to help players retrieve the ball more easily while reducing strain on the back and knees. Attached to the base of the paddle handle, PIKLPIK was developed to improve comfort on the court and help players spend more time enjoying the game. PIKLPIK is a sleek and durable pickleball retrieval hook made out of a lightweight and strong ABS plastic, weighs 2.5 grams with a 1 inch round base, .75 inch in height and an angled rounded tip to easily pick up a pickleball. Just Pik It!
Created through family collaboration and inspired by real-life play, PIKLPIK transformed a clever homemade hack into a lightweight, durable, Made-in-the-USA product built for today’s pickleball player. It is a simple idea with a meaningful purpose — helping make the game more comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable.
From paperclip to PIKLPIK — family-made, player-approved, patent approved, and proudly American.
